Play Park Area

Enjoy our safe play park designed for children to have fun and explore their creativity.

BBQ Facilities

Regeneration Project

We began our regeneration programme in 2023 and to date we have raised a whopping £16,000.

This money has been spent on replacing all of the seating in the park with eco-friendly long lasting benches. Rebuilding the BBQ area and replacing the swings and adventure trail!

To finish the restoration of the Green and protect this special place for future generations... We need to raise a further £35,000!

As an open and responsible charitable group we plan to spend the money in five stages.

Replace the Nest Swing (£5,000)

Replace the Play Tower (£15,000)

Replace the Entrance Gate & Fencing (£3,000

Resurfacing the Paths (£9,000)

Installation of Onsite Storage (£3,000)

A few rules...

Children and Young People are welcome to make use of the Green and its facilities. However because the Green is an unsupervised recreational open space we respectfully remind parents that child welfare remains their responsibility. The Trustees and Management Committee of Cavenham Village Green cannot be held responsible for the safety, welfare and behaviour of children and young people visiting the Green.

We welcome dogs with their responsible owners or walkers onto the Green to all areas except the play area. All dogs are to be kept under control at all times. There is a penalty £50 for owners and walkers found to leave dog foul on the Green.

It is sometimes necessary to use various items of machinery on or around the Green. We specifically ask parents and dog owners to keep their charges away from areas where machinery is being operated whether cordoned off or not.

We ask all users and visitors to assist us by:

  • Taking all reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others.

  • Using the Green in accordance with the by-laws,

  • Reporting any hazard which cannot be controlled personally.

In any case, do NOT place yourself at risk.

Cavenham Village Green is an unsupervised recreational open space and we respectfully remind all users and visitors that the Trustees and Management Committee of Cavenham Village Green cannot be held responsible for the actions or negligence of other users or visitors.

You are welcome to use our BBQ facilities free of charge, however we ask that you notify us in advance by contacting cavenhamgreen@gmail.com.

Cavenham Green is owned and managed by a team of Trustees on behald of Cavenham Village Green Limited which is a not-for-profit company with the aim of managing and preserving this special place.
